I am watching the Olympic opening ceremonies. It is very impressive. It would be awesome to see a show like that in person... I'm not really one for watching the Olympics, and I don't usually watch opening ceremonies on TV, but nothing else was on. I think it would be great to visit China sometime. I just hope the air doesn't smell like MSG, like it does in San Francisco's China Town. I suspect that it does though. When I stayed in Korea earlier in the year, the air smelled of Kim chi... Still, it would be really cool to visit.
As D learns more and more English, I am beginning to see glimpses of his life back in Russia. Tonight, I was getting some milk out of the fridge for Little A and D. I jokingly got out the Vodka and asked them if they wanted some... They laughed and said "No!!" But, Little A wanted to smell it, so I let her. Then D wanted to smell it... He took a whiff and said, with a grimace, "Ooh! Ya no Vodka, Vera drink it!" ( translation: I no vodka, Vera drinks it). Vera was one of his nurses at the Orphanage! :) I laughed. Maybe all those boys drove poor Vera to take a little drink on the job now and then!!! ;)
