The Earth Day Invention.....

Let's see...  I am sitting on my front porch, listening to a combination of songbirds singing in the distance and my children fighting in the other room...  Hmm.  Not very relaxing.  Oh well, I am trying to decompress a bit before going back in to finish dinner up.  The screaming has stopped, so either they have resolved their disagreement, or they have killed each other... in any case the only thing I hear right now are songbirds, and that makes me smile.  : ) Ahh, the joys of Motherhood.... 

We just finished up with D's school project that is due tomorrow.  He had to build an invention that would help the Earth.  His first suggestion was a robot TV that would follow you around turning itself on and off at your whim... oh yeah, it had to play DVDs... I explained to him that this invention would do nothing to help the Earth.  He wasn't pleased.  Big A suggested he invent a hat that would automatically plant flower seeds for you while you wore it.  He didn't like that idea at all.  They finally reached a compromise...  He would invent a hat that had a solar powered TV attached.   Attached to the TV would be a bag that dispensed flower seeds, so that while gardening, one could watch TV.  Big A also suggested that the hat have a book attachment as well, so that if the gardener got tired of watching television, he could read his favorite book.  D agreed, and built his hat.  I wish that I could take a picture of it, but alas, my camera is again not working.   Bleh. Anyway, it turned out  pretty cute. 

Now it is time to feed the masses and put them to bed..... Yippee!!! : )
