One week until Christmas! Now is crunch time... I have put off buying a couple of the "big" gifts for Big A, and I must do it today. I think I'm feeling better this morning.... I have a slight sinus headache, but I'm not feeling nearly as bad as I did yesterday. Unfortunately it is raining today... no big surprise. It seems to rain every other day here now. Makes me feel like we live in Seattle or something.
Pixie was talking about paying it forward last night. I think today I need to do that... yesterday I had two acts of kindness towards me. One was the Cop who pulled me over for expired tags and only gave me a warning because she took pity on my sobbing self. The second act of kindness was the Gas South man, who knocked and knocked on my door while I was in the shower... he waited for a long time to tell me that he was here to turn off the gas due to non-payment (oops, I am so slack...), but he saw that there were children living here, and wanted to give me a chance to pay it before he disconnected me. That was sooooo sweet of him!!! Those two people were just what I needed yesterday! So today, I must return the good deed. I'm not sure what it will be, but I need to do it. It is seldom that I have good luck, so I definitely need to acknowledge these acts of kindness.
Another recent occurrence is that I recently found several of my elementary school friends on Facebook. The funny thing is that I was just thinking about them the other day. Big A wants a sleepover party for her 7th birthday, and I was remembering my own sleepovers as a child. I got to thinking about my little friends in elementary school, so I typed in some names and found them... Facebook is a crazy thing. It makes the world such small place. Pretty cool....
