A Typical Saturday Morning....

I got my laptop back yesterday... the guy was unable to retrieve any data, and he did not replace the hard drive, so it is still unusable. It is killing me. I want so badly to upload some photos, but my desk top is too old and slow, so photos will have to wait. It is amazing how trapped I feel without my lap top... Weird.

But there is good news... yesterday I drove out to Smyrna to take my camera for repairs... I handed the camera to the guy, and it "magically" started working. Seriously, he must be like the camera Jesus-- raising cameras from the dead simply by laying his hands on them! He did tell me that the problem would return at some point. But, he advised me to use it until it quites working for good... He said it needs to be taken apart and cleaned, which will probably cost about $150.00. Apparently, all the sand that got on it at the beach had caused the shutter to lock up. Hopefully the camera will "live" through the rest of the month.... You know how I am about taking photos. I have the strange need to document every single event. Also, the guy gave me the number of a data retrieval specialist--- he said he could try to get the data off my laptop, and would only charge me if he is successful.... there is some hope!

Big A is reading stories to her brother and sister.... literally reading! I am amazed at how fast she has picked up reading. She can sound out just about any word now! How did this occur? She is only in first grade! When I was that age, I could barely read at all. School is so different now. Imagine what she would know if we lived in a state that had actually had good schools... She is so smart. I'm not just saying that because she's my kid, she really is scary intelligent.... who knows what she can accomplish if she really applies herself... D is now shrieking because Little A has taken his sword. I wonder if I should break up the fight... No I won't. The shrieking is getting on my nerves though. Sometimes I wish that I could "debark" the boy. :) Oh, I guess I am rambling on about nothing... and my kids are complaining that they are hungry... so I better sign off now. Just a typical Saturday morning!
