Adventures of Two Sisters, One Brother, and a Mom: More Birthday Bashes....

Finally.... getting around to writing about last weekend...as usual. Last weekend was kid filled... There were birthday parties--- three to be exact. On Saturday, the kids went to a pool for Kim's son's birthday party. They had a great time swimming, eating cake, and stuffing themselves with candy!!! Lots of sugar, lots of sugar. After the party we all went over to Mojo Pizza for dinner. That was fun too. It was great hanging out with Kim and her family... Lately we haven't been able to get together as much, so it was really fun. We used to get together for dinner every couple of weeks or so, hopefully we can start hanging out more often again... Kim has a calming effect on me... That's good because I can be so high strung sometimes...

On Sunday, The Pixie and I threw a joint birthday party for Little A and J..... Little A chose Cinderella for her theme, and J chose Spiderman. Each kid invited their own friends, and we had the party at a local park.... There was a pretty good turn out for the party. Unfortunately, it started raining almost as soon as the party started, and it never let up. :( Fortunately the picnic shelter was large, so there was plenty of cover available. And the kids did not seem to mind running around in the rain one bit! In fact, I think they loved it!!! They all got very wet and very dirty, but they all had a great time getting that way. Nana had come down for the day, and I think she was a bit overwhelmed by the chaos.... It really wasn't so bad though. Not what I had imagined, but it all worked out. Later we went back to my house to clean up, and The Pixie came over with her boy. We hung out, watched a movie and ate leftover hot dogs from the party... It was a very tiring but fun weekend.
